16: The Gift of Herbal Medicine During Challenging Times with Sara-Chana Silverstein

The pandemic brought a whole new level of stress and worry to our everyday lives. Wouldn’t you agree?

A lot of people are feeling this way and looking for natural ways to alleviate some of that stress. If that is you, you are going to benefit from this episode with Sara-Chana Silverstein.

Sara-Chana is joining me to talk all about the benefits of herbal medicine, how it differs from pharmaceuticals and the various herbal medicines that are available to us.

Sara-Chana is a Master Herbalist, Classical Homeopath and International board-certified lactation consultant who has worked with over 30 thousand clients over the past 28 years. She does TV segments across the US, guest lectures at medical schools, and is the author of the book MOODTOPIA-Tame your moods, de-stress and find balance using herbal remedies, aromatherapy and more which got accolades from Deepak Chopra and Mayim Bialik.

She is known as New York’s “MOODY-EXPERT.” During the times of COVID, quarantine, and job loss, the discussion about moodiness is very important, so we are diving into the details of all of that in this episode.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • How herbal medicine helps the central nervous system
  • The difference in side effects between pharmaceuticals and herbs
  • An overview of adaptogens
  • How herbs can help you recover from COVID
  • Herbs that are immunomodulatory
  • The benefits of various flowers, herbs and essential oils

In this episode, Sara-Chana and I really emphasize how important it is to be educated on the different types of medicines that are available to you so you can feel empowered to make the right health care decisions.

Check out her book for more information!
