71: Biohacking, Mitochondrial Dysfunction, and Healing At Home with Cheyanne Welton

Have you heard of biohacking?

Also known as “Do It Yourself Biology”, it’s the idea that you can heal your health issues on your own by making small changes. This can mean changing your diet, your environment, or exercise.

There are many factors that go into your health that easily get overlooked in a standard medical setting. In this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I sat down with Cheyanne Welton to talk more about how you can biohack your own health to heal, treat mitochondrial dysfunction, create new neural pathways, and so much more.

Cheyanne Welton is a registered Nurse, biohacker, and mitochondrial and nature enthusiast. She experienced serious health issues related to mold and made it her mission to learn everything she could to equip herself and her family with the tools they need to heal from it.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • The effects of living in a home with mold
  • Tips for detoxing your body after being exposed to mold
  • Ways to create new pathways in the brain
  • The importance of taking responsibility for your own health
  • What to do when you have mitochondrial dysfunction
  • The effects of sunlight and grounding
  • Animal vs. plant-based diets

We all have a responsibility to take ownership of our own health. Doctors are there to educate and support you so that you can determine how to best adapt your lifestyle and diet to fit your needs.

When it comes to day-to-day practices, the foundational stuff is what matters most. Just getting outside and taking a walk can make a big difference. This along with eating the right diet for your body will drastically improve your health.

You know more about what your body needs than any doctor can tell you. If you are interested in more biohacking tips, make sure to sign up for Cheyanne’s Patreon.
