Patients often suffer from a myriad of issues related to women’s health. They may experience irregular periods, PMS, have difficulty conceiving, problems with breastfeeding and milk production, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, loss of libido, abnormal hair growth or loss, and numerous other issues.
Patients may be placed on a variety of medications or have already tried a number of treatments for these complaints including oral contraceptives, antidepressants, replacement hormones, IVF, prescription creams, etc. Ultimately these treatments may have proven unsuccessful for patients, the side effect burden too great, or patients may simply prefer a more holistic route in line with their body’s natural state.
Naturopathic methods focus on treatments that support the natural functioning of the female body and its ability to heal itself, and ultimately work to create balance and harmony in maintaining overall health.
I take a different approach. I avoid the harmful side effects used in other treatments and instead use a naturopathic approach to care. I look at the whole body to analyze how all the systems are functioning together and correct any imbalances to get to the root cause of problems versus just symptomatic treatment.
As a naturopathic doctor, I use sophisticated testing, thorough intake of symptoms and years of clinical experience to come up with a plan that will address hormone imbalances and help improve the entire body in the process. Through my training in functional medicine testing, I have the ability to test hormone and cortisol levels.
I offer personalized nutritional counseling to aid patients in creating a lifestyle focused on proper diet and nutrition that will allow their bodies to self-heal and maintain healthy balance.
I work to provide a comprehensive solution to women’s health, resolving hormone imbalances that can affect menses and fertility, breastfeeding, hot flashes and menopause, acne, hair growth, and sexual health and libido.
