Healing Your Chronic Illness with the Power of Meditation, Nutrition, and Mindset with Geta Barbu

Do you struggle with type 2 diabetes or some other chronic illness?

Many people do, and nutrition is a huge piece of it. In this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I sat down with Geta Barbu, a nutritionist, to talk about type 2 diabetes and other chronic illnesses and the things you can do to help your body heal.

Geta Barbu is a gut health expert and certified Nutritionist living with liver dysfunction since birth. She has been thriving without supplements for 11 years and is now teaching others how to heal their chronic and autoimmune diseases through nutrition.

It’s amazing how much changing your diet and mindset can help you reduce your need for medication. Geta is sharing her best tips and how she helps her patients drastically improve their health by nourishing their bodies with the nutrition that they really need and focusing on meditation and mindset.

There is a higher quality of life on the other side of chronic pain or chronic illnesses like this. It’s not about managing it, it’s about staying curious and finding ways to help your body reverse it so you can finally start to feel better.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • How Geta got started as a nutritionist
  • Geta’s experience working with type 2 diabetes
  • How type 2 diabetes forms
  • What happens when your body is in fight-or-flight mode
  • The mindset piece of this disease
  • The importance of keeping your glucose at a homeostasis level
  • The nutrients your body needs
  • The stress around eating in America
  • How meditation helps your body heal

You might need some help figuring out what basics you need to implement or what supplements you need to start healing your body. It’s nice to have the support of someone like Geta who has done it before and has walked others through this journey.
