How The Epstein-Barr Virus Could Be Slowing Down Your Healing Journey and What To Do About It with Dr. Kinney

Is the Epstein-Barr virus impacting your ability to heal?

Lately, I have been getting a lot of questions about this virus. This is something I talk about a lot in my day-to-day while working with my patients, so in this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I’m diving into the nitty gritty of what the Epstein-Barr virus is, what it looks like, what symptoms to watch for, how we test for it, and treatment options as well.

I work with a lot of hormonal imbalances, adrenal fatigue, and thyroid issues. A big part of being a naturopathic doctor is trying to get to the root cause of illnesses. After digging around,  I found that many of my patients had the Epstein-Barr virus in an active state.

The problem is, if your body is dealing with that, it’s not going to have any energy to fix your hormones, deal with the thyroid, or do anything else. If the body is really busy trying to get rid of something that shouldn’t be living there, it’s not going to have cellular energy to do a lot of other things. That being said, it’s important to stay on top of this virus when it flares up.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • Why underlying viruses can be so disruptive to your health journey
  • What the Epstein-Barr virus is
  • How life stressors could be causing a flare-up
  • Testing methods for Epstein-Barr
  • What you can do to improve your immune system
  • Herbal remedies for this virus
  • Why you need to cut back on exercise during this virus
  • Diet changes for treating this virus
  • Why your body temperature is important

I hope this was helpful for you guys. This virus is really something I see a lot of. The good news is once you get this virus in control, it’s so much easier for you to grow your hair, have more energy, sleep better, balance hormones, have better skin, and lose weight.

If the body’s focused on killing something, it’s not going to have extra energy to do all those other things you’re trying to accomplish. So if we can help the body out by killing that off and getting rid of it, then your body’s going to do what you want it to do so much faster and so much easier.
