146: Stop Negative Thoughts in Their Tracks Using LOVESNAP with Christianne Brookes

Our thoughts create our lives, are yours negative or positive?

In this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I chat with Christianne Brookes about the profound impact our thoughts have on relationships, abundance, health, and happiness. Christianne introduces LOVESNAP, her ingenious tool designed to shift negative thoughts to positive ones, creating transformative changes in our lives.

Christianne Brooks is the creative force behind some of the most beautiful and effective advertising of the past 25 years. As both an art director and creative director, her talent has been recognized worldwide with top awards such as the Cannes Lion, One Show Gold Pencil, and gold from the London International. Currently, she is the Head of Design for Frito-Lay North America, but her ambition doesn’t stop there.

Despite her incredible career achievements, Christianne like so many of us, still struggled with negative self-talk/critical inner voice and limiting beliefs. In an effort to overcome this unproductive habit, Christianne discovered a methodology rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy affectionately known as “the rubber band technique” wearing a rubber band on her wrist, snapping every time she noticed a negative thought or limiting belief come up and replacing it with a positive affirmation. Thus began over a decade of continuous rubber band wearing.

This tried and true technique changed her life in both profound and subtle ways, yet Christianne always felt a bit self-conscious about wearing a rubber band on her wrist at important events, such as at a board meeting or at a black-tie gala. Enter LOVESNAP, a stylish reminder to talk nice to yourself. LOVESNAP is Christianne’s love offering to this world. It is her wish for everyone to conquer negative self-talk, limiting beliefs and behaviors so that collectively we can truly soar with ease and confidence to our highest selves.

LOVESNAP launched in early 2021 where its need was quickly proven with a series of viral TikTok videos, the highest reaching seeing over 1.5 million views. Just a couple of months ago, LOVESNAP was organically selected to be featured in Bobbie’s Bests segment on TODAY’s Hoda & Jenna. Once again, LOVESNAP received an overwhelming demand from TODAY show viewers.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • The power our own thoughts have in our lives
  • The wakeup call Christianne gives herself when she has negative self-talk
  • How LOVESNAP helps you stay in the present moment and shift your mindset for the better
  • How to use this tool in your day-to-day life
  • The physical impact negative thoughts and stress have on your body
  • Mantras you can use to replace your negative thoughts

I hope you enjoyed this conversation with Christianne and liked hearing about her simple but powerful technique and tool to shift your mindset and change your life. Your thoughts have a huge impact on your life, and this tool is a great way to get started on a path to a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled you.
