Music, Meditation and Mindfulness

35: The Power of Music, Meditation and Mindfulness with Murray Hidary

Do you ever use music to get in tune with your emotions? I know that I can rely on music a lot of the time to get me excited or to help me feel better.

In this episode, I am interviewing Murray Hidary, and we are chatting all about how to use music as meditation and the best ways to use music to improve and benefit our lives.

Murray Hidary, a composer, meditation expert, and creator of MindTravel (a series of music-driven mindfulness experiences and downloadable exercises), aims to help people find connection, purpose, and inner peace as life continues to throw us curveballs.

Murray helps me understand how and why music has such a large effect on humans, and we have an incredibly interesting and informative conversation.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • How music allows you to tune into the present moment
  • What music can do for us from an emotional level
  • Using music as medicine for joy or pain
  • How to use music as a way to express yourself
  • Maximizing mind travel
  • How music notes, vibrations, and frequencies move through us

Battling through the challenges of the past year has noticeably shown how stress can take on new forms, so I am so glad that Murray joined me in this episode to talk about how we can all use music to explore and understand the emotions we are feeling.

I think that music is an amazing tool for healing on so many different levels. Not only can it help us understand ourselves, but it allows us to connect with others that might be experiencing some of the same feelings.

If you are someone who struggles with meditation, I think this is the perfect thing to try! Make sure you check out Murray’s website and music linked below for more information on this topic!
