149: Thyroid Check: How To Find Out if You Have Hypothyroidism Even If Your Labs Are Normal

Do you have all the hypothyroid symptoms even though you’re being told your thyroid is normal?

Sometimes when it comes to your thyroid, your labs could come back normal even if you do have hypothyroidism because you aren’t being tested for the right things.

So in this episode, I’ll be addressing a common concern among my patients—the thyroid. I want to help you understand the importance of accurate testing to determine whether your thyroid is functioning optimally so you can identify any issues and get the treatment plan you need.

There is a lot of nuance when it comes to thyroid levels and what could be impacting them, so it’s so important to work with someone who does a lot of work with the thyroid. They can get you on medications and treatments that can be life-changing for you.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • The classic signs and symptoms that something is going on with your thyroid
  • The tests that you need to have done to check your thyroid function and what the results mean
  • Other tell-tale signs that your thyroid isn’t working properly
  • What’s happening inside your body that can impact your thyroid
  • The top cause of hypothyroidism in women
  • The thyroid medications and treatments available to you
  • Other things to test for if your labs come back normal

There are many intricacies when it comes to your thyroid function and the things that could impact it. At the end of the day, you want to make sure you’re working with someone who’s going to do all the testing, who’s going to work with you, and who’s going to listen to your symptoms.

The treatment for hypothyroidism could make a huge difference in your health, so don’t give up if you know something is going on.
