What You Need To Know About Fibroids and Your Period with Christine Garvin

Do you struggle with fibroids?

This is a common issue among women and unfortunately, it can lead to hysterectomies for many. But it doesn’t have to end that way. There are naturopathic ways to catch fibroids early and balance your hormones so that they can shrink and heal naturally.

In this episode of The Dr. Kinney Show, I sat down with Christine Garvin to talk about fibroids and what you need to know about early detection.

Christine Garvin, MA, NE, RWP is a Functional Health Coach based in Asheville, NC. She weaves together her personal health journey – including a fibroid surgery that nearly killed her – with her training in functional health, nutrition, and hormones to help women heal their gut and achieve hormonal balance.

She has been featured in Health, Shape, Parade Magazine, and MSN. She is the host of the podcast, Hormonally Speaking, works with clients all over the world via Zoom, and offers group programs for gut healing and hormone health.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • Christine’s experience with fibroids
  • What fibroids are
  • Why it’s so important to get your period
  • Tips for tracking your cycle
  • Symptoms of fibroids
  • The importance of supporting your estrogen metabolism
  • The impact of stress on your body
  • How alcohol impacts your hormones

The earlier that we know that you have a fibroid, the earlier we can start to shrink them and possibly avoid surgery. Understanding your cycle and your body is the first step.

I know that fibroids are a huge issue for many women but there is hope. Remember, when you have issues with fibroids, that can an indicator that it’s time to start setting some boundaries and nourishing your body.

If you want to work with Christine, she does work with patients virtually so you can check out her website. The doors to her group program Hormone Breakthrough Blueprint will be opening in December so make sure you get on the waitlist so that you can be notified first.
